Started in 1961 as a small clinic, P.S. Mission hospital had initiated various noble activities along with its growth. PM Mission Hospital was the first to start a community volunteer program and home care program for the bedridden. Neighbour-friendly programs like DOTS free treatment programme for Tuberculosis patients, medical check-ups and free treatment programmes, free monthly medical and OB and gynaecological health talks, school health check-up, blood sugar testing, distribution of milk and medicine and free dialysis programme for all the dialysis patients of the locality were part of its activities. The venture ‘Nithyasahayasadan’ has started as a home for the elderly and terminally sick people.
