Asha Hospital, in collaboration with ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan Chapter, provides dementia rehabilitation services through a Dementia Day Care centre.

Asha Hospital, in collaboration with ARDSI Hyderabad Deccan Chapter, provides dementia rehabilitation services through a Dementia Day Care centre.

A dementia day care centre is essentially an activity centre where people with Dementia can spend the day by engaging in meaningful and purposeful activities through individual and/or group settings.

The day care currently provides the following services at Banjara Hill

Individual and group activities including cognitive rehabilitation through customised person centred care plans devised with the person with dementia and their family members, physically and socially stimulating activities through music and art, and much more. Members are facilitated through these activities for by psychologists and trained attendants.

Caregiver support: Counselling and caregiver education sessions are conducted by psychologists for carers of persons with dementia to help deal with the stress and burden of the condition.

Other services: Neuropsychological assessment, physiotherapy sessions, speech therapy sessions can be arranged on demand.
